The Software Development Technical Lead will work alongside the Software Development Team Leader, providing solution designs across bespoke web and mobile development projects and SaaS product development, within the context of an Agile software development setting.

What would I be doing?

The Software Development Technical Lead will act as a lead and mentor within the development team, reviewing team members' code to ensure a good level of consistency and quality across solutions. They will be the champion of new technologies, delivering high quality software that meets or exceeds client expectations.

Working across bespoke web and mobile development projects and SaaS product development, the technical lead will have at least a 50% component of hands on development, while also focused on solution design, reviewing source code, training junior developers on good practice and solution design, and helping Zeevo develop their IT delivery infrastructure (servers, networks, Cloud and operating systems).

This is a broad and challenging role requiring a responsive and positive approach to Zeevo clients and their changing requirements.

Reporting to the Software Development Team Leader, the Technical Lead will be improvement oriented, retaining a very strong focus on external customers, helping to ensure projects are delivered on time, every time, with an experience that ‘delights’.

What do I need?

Our ideal candidate will be an experienced professional, with a positive mindset, an encouraging approach, a very strong communicator, and with the strength of character to rally, inspire and grow technically, an internal team.

We are looking for a shaper, a driver, somebody on a quest for improvement, and really able to set the tone in an established team environment.

We would expect to see the following level of experience from the successful candidate:

  • A minimum of 10-15 years within an IT/Software development environment
  • At least 2-3 years in a Technical Leadership role (could be within a Senior Dev context)
  • A proven track record leading improvement and engagement within a professional software development setting
  • Strong understanding and experience with Agile (Scrum)
  • Hands on experience developing in technologies such as C#, PHP, JavaScript, SQL Server, Object C or Open source technologies

The Software Development Practice Lead will set the tone for all delivery from within the Development team, working across bespoke web and mobile development projects and SaaS product development.

Complimented by a Technical Lead, the Development Practice Lead will be delivery and improvement orientated, retaining a very strong focus on external customers, ensuring projects are delivered on time, every time, with an experience that ‘delights’.

The Development Practice Lead will work broadly across delivery through the agile process, project scheduling, client engagement, and ensuring the development team are well supported and productive with the culture, tools, processes and focus to really succeed.
